Super-Heroes
In this case study, I photographed a series of highly detailed superhero statues, focusing on dramatic lighting and dynamic angles to emphasize their power and craftsmanship. The goal was to bring out the texture, color, and emotion in each piece, creating bold, cinematic images that appeal to collectors and fans alike.
Behind the Scenes
For this project, as you can see, I used Foam Boards, Mirrors, to simple white 8x11" paper to control the light, in order to illuminate these subjects as best as possible. The Spiderman subject, was in a very bad state cosmetically... not when looked at in a normal fashion, but when a Macro Lens was used, all the tiny defects and imperfections came out in a very obvious way. Heavy retouching and reconstructing were necessary to achieve my standard of quality.
